Irene Patten Celebrates 20 Years with DayMark Safety Systems

Irene PattenOn July 31, 2009, Irene Patten celebrated her 20th work anniversary with CMC Group, Inc. Irene began her career with CMC Group at Century Marketing, where she spent nine years in the Customer Service department working at the proof desk. She then moved over to DayMark Safety Systems and joined their Customer Service department. Irene has spent the past 11 years as a Customer Service Representative at DayMark. She works on the order entry team and is responsible for entering distribution purchase orders. She also serves as a backup to the inquiry team.

Irene’s favorite thing about working for CMC Group is the friendly and caring environment. In her 20 years with the companies, one memory stands out the most: the day that Al Caperna (CEO of CMC Group) dressed as Superman, “Yes - cape, tights, and all,” she recalls, and climbed on desks and over cubicles. Irene says that if she was asked to give some words of advice to a new employee, she would say, “Plan to work here for a long time. It’s an easy place to stay.”

Outside of work, Irene enjoys playing music and spending time with her family. Irene plays the mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer in a duo called “A Joyful Noise” with her husband. She has two adult children, twin grandchildren, and two Bengal cats. Irene hopes to retire someday and spend her time playing music and traveling.
